Freedom split DH with Slippery Rock
2nd straight sell out of Champion Window Field!
The Florence Freedom lost game one of a double header tonight against the Slippery Rock Sliders. Greg Stone was 2-4 in game one. Florence beat the Sliders in game two tonight, 3-1. Reggie Watson was 2-3. Reliever Dave Watkins had the win, and Jason Bowlin had his first save of the season for the Freedom. The Florence Freedom are proud to announce the second sell out of the 2007 season. 4,084 fans enjoyed the between inning promotions like the Dizzy Bat Race and Water balloon baseball, as well as a fantastic post game fireworks show. Tonight’s Florence Freedom game also has over 30 groups in attendance. July 11th, 2007 was the club’s first sell-out of the season, 4,483 fans joined in the celebration of all the stars of the Frontier League during the 2007 All-Star Game.
