Florence loses slugfest, 19-14
Loss snaps three game winning streak for the Freedom
The Florence Freedom snapped their three game winning streak as they fell to Windy City 19-14. The Freedom gave up 19 runs in the first five innings before Eddie Gonzalez came in. Gonzalez, the all-star catcher for the Freedom, came in and threw four scoreless innings for the Freedom. Ryan Basham led a powerful offensive attack for the Freedom. Florence scored fourteen runs but it would not be enough. Basham hit three doubles to tie a team record and also drove in four runs. The Freedom play the rubber match against Windy City tomorrow at 6:05 p.m. at Champion Window Field.
