Williams' Homer Lifts Kings Past Freedom 9-5
Hunt Hits League Leading 20th Homer
Simon Williams belted a three-run homer with two outs in the fifth inning to break a 4-4 tie and send host Kalamazoo on its way to a 9-5 win over Florence in Frontier League baseball action Friday night at Homer Stryker Field in Kalamazoo, Mich. Kelly Hunt hit his league-leading 20th home run of the season and Nick Salotti connected for his seventh in a losing cause for Florence (26-26). Right-hander Andy Clark (4-1) suffered his first professional defeat while Kalamazoo lefty Trent Lare improved to 4-2 with the win. The series continues at 7:05 p.m. EDT Saturday at Homer Styrker Field.
