The Florence Freedom are now offering a fully functional, heated, well-lit turf floor and 2100 sq. foot indoor baseball academy with two hitting/pitching/fielding lanes for youth of all ages to develop their game, set to open January 4.  Lessons and hitting/pitching/fielding lanes are available to individuals and groups.

Lessons

Instructors:

TOBY RUMFIELD, Senior Instructor: Freedom manager and former 2nd round Cincinnati Reds draft pick Toby Rumfield has been playing and coaching at the professional level for 20 years.

SPECIALTY: Hitting, pitching, catching

 

TIM GROGAN: Grogan is a local product out of Covington Catholic High School and was a 19th round draft pick by the New York Mets in 2005.  In 2009 with the Freedom, Tim Grogan played in 81 games and hit 12 home runs with 60 RBI.

SPECIALTY: Hitting, fielding defense

 

 

PEDRO FLORES: Freedom Pitching Coach, Flores brings 14 years of professional pitching experience to go along with four years of coaching experience to Florence. The left-hander spent time in six of his 14 professional seasons in affiliated baseball, advancing as high as Triple A in 2008 with Minatitlan of the Mexican League.

 Frozen Rope Hitting Clinics:

Sign up now for one or more of our new Saturday one-hour hitting clinics offered all February and March. Each instructor-led clinic includes 4-8 kids who will rotate through various hitting drills to get ready for the season. Click below to sign up.

Group Rates (max 6 people): $100-$110/hour with 1 instructor

 

Don't need instuctors?  Rent out the academy without the instructors.

Facility Rental:

Batting lane (w/ unlimited Iron Mike): $25 (30 mins.) or $45 (60 mins.)

Pitching lane: $20 (30 mins.) or $35 (60 mins.)

Facility (both lanes): $45 (30 mins) or $75 (60 mins)
