Billy Mottram enters his third season with the Freedom hoping to build off one of his best seasons yet in 2009. The 4th year second baseman came to the Freedom in 2008 and played in 96 games a year ago.

2009... Mottram hit .281 setting new career highs in HR (23) and RBI (79) in his team-leading 96 games played. Mottram proved to be a valuable asset on the bases with a .360 on-base percentage and a team-leading 30 steals in 37 attempts. He also led the team in RBI, slugging percentage (.530), and runs scored (73).

2008... Mottram had a career year hitting .300 with 10 HR's and 53 RBI's to go along with 19 doubles. Mottram swiped 6 bags and had 31 walks on his way to collecting 153 total bases.

Career... Mottram spent 2007 with the A level Boise Hawks and Daytona Cubs of the Chicago Cubs organization. In 41 games, he hit 2 HR's with 18 RBI's. He saw a significant increase in playing time with the Freedom in 2008 playing in 90 games.
