Dan Guttridge is in his second season with the Freedom. He signed with the Freedom on May 29th, 2007 and made his professional debut as a right fielder against the Slippery Rock Sliders. Due to injury he was only available for 15 games during the 2007 season. Upon Chris Hook leaving for the Milwaukee Brewers organization, Dan took over as Director of Amateur Baseball in January 2008.
Dan graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2007 with degrees in Business Administration and Communication Arts. During his days at UC, Dan put up exceptional numbers for the Patriots. Dan earned 2007 Mid-South Conference Player of the Year award in his senior season.
He is a local product from Richwood, KY and a 2002 graduate from Ryle High School.
Aside from his coaching gig at NKU, and playing for the Freedom, Dan also molds young minds and bodies at ‘At The Yard Baseball Training Center’.
During the off season Dan enjoys candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach, camping, fishing, and anything he can do outdoors, including more baseball.
When Daniel grows up, his hopes and dreams are to hold the title of Director of Fun, just like Kevin Schwab, his idol.
