Roger Redmon joins the Freedom for his third season as the play-by-play voice of Florence Freedom baseball in 2008. Redmon, who is a native of Somerset, Ky., has served in a number of capacities in the media. He spent a number of years broadcasting high school and college sports on radio and television throughout eastern and southern Kentucky. Redmon has been the radio play-by-play voice for Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College basketball and Campbellsville (Ky.) University football. He also served as a color analyst on the Eastern Kentucky University and Morehead State University football and basketball radio networks, as well as the Kentucky “Sweet 16” high school basketball television broadcasts. A graduate of Morehead State, Roger and his wife, Shannon (Brosky) have two children: Trent (13) and Leah (10). |
