Kari Rumfield - General Manager
(859) 594-HITS x-16

Kari Rumfield is in her first season as the General Manager of the Freedom.  She brings several seasons of baseball experience to the organization in 2008.  Most recently Rumfield was the Assistant General Manager for the River City Rascals also of the Frontier League.

Rumfield took River City to the next level, more than doubling the corporate sales in just one year. Prior to River City, she spent two seasons as the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Joliet Jackhammers (Northern League). Her department in Joliet generated 1.2 million dollars in corporate sales. Rumfield was also the Assistant General Manager of the San Angelo Colts (Central League) where she joined with the Children’s Miracle Network to raise over $25,000 for the charity in a month.

Rumfield spent a year with the Starbucks Coffee Company as an Assistant General Manager before joining professional baseball. In that time she increased their retail percentage by 4% and doubled food per caps. She also spent 10 years with Outback Steakhouse as the Front of the House Coordinator/Manager, opened over a dozen new stores, and was named Employee of the Year in 1995.

Kari is originally from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. She is married to Toby Rumfield, a former 2nd round draft pick of the Cincinnati Reds, and current Manager of the River City Rascals as well as a part time scout for the New York Mets.

Favorite movie quote:
Melvin Udall: I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and how you are with Spencer, "Spence," and in every single thought that you have, and how you say what you mean, and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good. I think most people miss that about you, and I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me.
