ASHLEY THOMPSON - Manager of Broadcasting & Media Relations,
Account Executive
(859) 594-HITS x-17

Ashley begins her third season with the Florence Freedom in 2008.  This season she is taking on an exciting new role with the Freedom as an Account Executive in addition to handling the media responsibilities for the team.  Prior to joining the Freedom, she was an Assistant Director at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati.  Ashley graduated from Xavier University in December 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a minor in Peace Studies.

A native of Indianapolis, she is a huge Colts and Pacers fan…but she’ll also cheer on the Bengals, Reds, and, of course, the Freedom.

If you could have one super power what would it be?
  I’d want to fly

Favorite sports team:
  Indianapolis Colts & Xavier Musketeers

Favorite movie quote:
“Oh, Eddie... If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am now.” -Chevy Chase, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Paper or plastic?
  Paper – it’s biodegradable!

Dream vacation:
  Backpacking through Europe

Most embarrassing moment:
In sixth grade I went to my first boy/girl party – it was a Halloween party- and my parents showed up in hideous masks to pick me up when it was over.  For a socially awkward sixth grader, it was mortifying.

Favorite cartoon:
  CareBears

Favorite thing to do in the off-season:
  Hang out with my friends

Favorite thing to do in season:
Watch fireworks after the Friday night games

Favorite President:

James A. Garfield – I had to do a huge report on him in 4th grade, he seemed like a cool guy

Most unusual talent:
Singing Show Tunes - I know lots of songs!
