May 17th is Opening Day for the Florence Freedom and the 2012 Frontier League Season, as Northern Kentucky’s baseball team will host the Traverse City Beach Bums at 7:05 pm.

The elimination process occurs every year and it is up to Manager Fran Riordan and the Freedom coaching staff to select the players that they feel will bring the most success to the team.

All 96 Freedom games will be broadcast on new radio partner Real Talk 1160

HBO: Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel recently did a feature story of former Florence Freedom pitcher Steve Delabar. Delabar's time with the Freedom was quick, but he story is pretty remarkable.
